Estate and antiques auctioneers

Catalog the lot while you are still standing next to it.

Auctus is the cataloging app we use in our own auction house. Photograph each lot, leave a voice note, and review an AI draft that cites the photo behind every fact. You approve it, then export a CSV with the images.

Early access notes only. Pricing is still undecided, so this list is how we open the door. Privacy policy.

Pricing is not set. It may be flat, per lot, or per auction. This site lists no prices.

What stays true on every lot

Facts cite a photo

Maker, period, and condition stay tied to the frame that supports them.

Prices stay with you

Auctus never estimates a price. The number, if you publish one, is yours.

A person approves

Nothing is final until someone on your desk has reviewed the lot.

The export carries images

The CSV leaves with the photographs, ready for the auction platform.

How it works

From the camera roll to a file you would sign.

  1. 01

    Shoot and speak

Photograph the lot on an iPhone. Leave a voice note for that lot while the piece is in front of you: the mark on the underside, the crack the camera might miss, what the consignor said.

  2. 02

    Photos become lots

The app groups the frames into lots, so a morning on the preview floor does not end as a camera roll with no names.

  3. 03

A draft that cites its photos

Auctus drafts a HiBid-ready title and description, plus maker, period, and condition. Each fact stays attached to a photo. A claim with nothing behind it stays out of the copy.

  4. 04

    You approve, then export

A person reviews every lot and approves it. When the catalog is ready, export a CSV that includes the images.

In the draft

What you review before a lot is real.

Voice note per lot
Record it with the photos, while you can still see the piece.
Grouping
Frames from one object land in one lot, including the mixed estates.
HiBid-ready copy
Titles and descriptions drafted in the shape a HiBid catalog expects.
Maker, period, condition
Written when a photo or your note supports them, and labeled with that photo.
Review queue
Each lot waits for a person. The draft is a starting point, not a published catalog.
Used in our own sales
Auctus is built for estate and antiques houses, and the people who make it catalog with it.

Weekly

The Gavel Report

A weekly letter for auctioneers: the sales worth your time, the objects people will remember, and how those lots were photographed and described.

The issue archive lives on this site. The first issue has not been published. Two format samples are in the archive so you can see the shape of the letter. They are drafts, and they report no results.
